solar eclipse
December 2021

Witness the beauty of Antarctica, then experience a total Solar Eclipse.
Experience the December 2021 total Solar Eclipse over the Southern Ocean/ Antarctica, all in the comfort of a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
On this once-in-a-lifetime journey, we expect an eclipse viewing time of approximately one minute and thirty seconds. The flight focus will be primarily on viewing the eclipse and although there is a chance that passengers may be able to see Antarctica and/or icebergs in the Ross Sea, this is not the primary focus of the flight and it may not be possible if there is significant cloud cover over this area on the day.
Cloud cover, however, will not impact viewing of the total solar eclipse as we will be above all weather systems and prioritizing our flying time to carefully position the aircraft for the eclipse, allowing the optimum view of the phenomenon for travelers.

Witness the Aurora Australis over Antarctica, from the air.

Many people spend a small fortune to fly to Norway, Canada or the Arctic Circle to see the Northern lights, but did you realise that you can see the same phenomena on a flight departing from Australia? Flights departing from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and returning to same airport.
